I'm Not Like You, I Can't...



Are Communication Skills Crucial in Networking and Sales Success?

"I'm not like you. 


I can't speak in front of people. 


I can't get on a stage."


This is something someone told me just yesterday.


Well, guess what? 


Me either.


Or at least, that's who I used to be. 


I have not always been who I am today. I am an introvert at heart. I was pegged as the quiet, shy kid who avoided eye contact to be called on in class even though I knew the answer. I didn't like the attention. I didn't like speaking up. 


I was the overachiever who didn't want the spotlight, the first-chair musician who always hoped there wasn't a solo. I was relieved when I wasn't valedictorian because that meant I didn't need to get up and speak. Despite wanting that and being so close, my fear overruled me. 


I am driven internally and wired differently than anyone I grew up with. I didn't like it. 


Now, I thrive on it.


I embraced who I am. The gifts God has given me. My strengths and challenges. I've taken it upon myself to become comfortable with being uncomfortable, and my life has been forever changed. 


So why am I telling you all of this? 


Well, because I invested in myself, overcame fears, and continue to do so, I have built an outward confidence. And I want to help you do the same. 

The sky is the limit for me now. I used to be my biggest obstacle, but I'm no longer holding myself back. I embrace growth, challenge, and change. Do you? 

Trust me, it's a game-changer.
